In Memoriam 2025

Eiji Tsuda

Eiji Tsuda was a Japanese voice actor, famous for his role as Takuma Sakazaki in the Art of Fighting and King of Fighters series.

He passed away at the age of 76 in 2025.

Jim Curry

Jim Curry photo

Jim Curry was a Marketing Manager and Writer, working on famous franchises such as Legacy of Kain and Gex.

He sadly passed away in February 2025.

Viktor Antonov

Viktor Antonov photo

Viktor Antonov was a designer and art director, starting his career at Xatrix Entertainment where he worked on the game Kingpin.

He then moved to Valve where his most famous work was on the game Half-Life 2, where he worked as an art director. He later ended up working for Bethesda on games such as Dishonored and Wolfenstein: The New Order.

He passed away at the age of 52 in February 2025.

Stéphane Picq

Stéphane Picq photo

Stéphane Picq was a composer who began his career in the gaming world in 1987, working mainly for Cryo Interactive, composing soundtracks for games such as Dune, Atlantis and Megarace.

He passed away at the age of 59 in February 2025.

Alan Emrich

Alan Emrich photo

Alam Emrich was a game designer, working on both video games and board games.

He worked on franchises such as Master of Orion, Warlords and Empire Deluxe.

Emrich was responsible for creating the term 4X, which is an abbreviation for Explore, Expand, Exploit and Exterminate. It is used to describe more complex strategy games where you need to build an empire while dealing with financial, technological and military management against enemies and allies.

He passed away on January 7, 2025.
