Xbox One

Picture of Xbox One

Xbox One is a console developed by Microsoft that was launched in 2013, being the successor to the Xbox 360.

Its announcement took place in May 2013 and was surrounded by much controversy as it was focused on multimedia resources such as TV and Films.

Its reception ended up being very bad because it was also announced that physical media would be linked to the user's account, not allowing the disc to be sold or loaned, in addition to its price being 100 dollars more expensive than the competitor Playstation 4 due to the mandatory Kinect.

In June, Microsoft ended up reversing its gaming policy, promising that the console does not need to be online all the time for games on physical media to work.

The mandatory use of Kinect ended up being removed in updates in the following years of the console, so the number of games for the accessory was very small, making it much less successful than its predecessor on the Xbox 360. As a result, it was officially discontinued in 2017.

The Xbox One had two versions, the Xbox One S which was a much smaller console than the original and with small improvements in the CPU, and the Xbox One X which had a superior graphics card that allowed games to be played in 4K and at 60 frames per second depending on the game.

The original Xbox One consisted of an 8-core APU running at 1.75GHz along with a graphics processor running at 853 MHz, it had 8GB of DDR3 RAM with a 500GB HDD.
