Nintendo 64 / N64
The Nintendo 64, also known as the N64, is a Nintendo console released on June 23, 1996 in Japan and September 29, 1996 in the United States.
Its processor is a NEC VR4300 running at 93.75 MHz, with a 64-bit GPU from Silicon Graphics known as Reality running at 62.5 MHz. The Nintendo 64 supported 16 million colors and its resolution ranged from 320x240 to 640x480.
It has 4MB of RAM memory, with the possibility of expansion to 8MB using the Expansion Pack. It does not have a sound chip, being necessary to develop drivers for the CPU or Reality to process the audio.
It sold around 32 million units worldwide, and was officially supported by Nintendo for 6 years, from 1996 to 2002, when it was discontinued to make way for the GameCube.
