Brasoft

Brasoft was a Brazilian game distributor, founded in 1984 by Paulo Milliet Roque.

Its first product was the WordStar text editor, which achieved considerable success, reaching 50% of the market.

In the 1990s, the company began licensing PC games from companies such as Maxis, LucasArts, and others, achieving significant success, mainly due to its excellent localization of games into Portuguese.

In 1998, Brasoft sold its copyrights and trademarks to Pi Editora, which then used the Brasoft brand for its products.

In 2004, Pi Editora ceased operations.
