Founded in 1987 by Daniel Efraim Dazcal, Tectoy is a company that specializes in toys and electronics.

It managed to form a partnership with Sega and officially launched the Master System, Mega Drive, Sega CD, 32x, Sega Saturn and Dreamcast consoles in Brazil.

Its presence in Brazil was fundamental to the success of these consoles here, especially the Master System, since at the time there was no Nintendo representation here, something that happened much later when Gradiente launched the Super Nintendo here and officially brought the 16-bit war here.

In December 1997, the company ended up filing for bankruptcy, causing the company to reposition itself in the market and start selling other types of products, such as karaoke players and DVDs.

More recently, it has started working with products such as tablets, headphones, 8bitdo gamepads, and AtGames consoles such as the Mega Drive and Atari Flashback.

Its latest release was the Zeenix Lite, a laptop that runs Windows 11 and can be connected to a dock to display images on a monitor or TV.

This company is responsible for games like Alex Kidd in Miracle World, Alex Kidd in Shinobi World, Street Fighter II, Phantasy Star, Sítio do Picapau Amarelo, Ayrton Senna's Super Monaco GP II, Mortal Kombat 3, After Burner, Alex Kidd: The Lost Stars e As Aventuras da TV Colosso.

Founded in: September 18, 1987

Also known as: Tec Toy, Tectoy S.A., Tec Toy Indústria de Brinquedos S.A.
