PSP / Sony PlayStation Portable
The Playstation Portable, better known as the PSP, is a portable console from Sony Computer Entertainment that was released on December 12, 2004 in Japan and on March 24, 2005 in the United States.
It was Sony's first handheld console, and it competed directly with the Nintendo DS.
The UMD (Universal Media Disc) was used as media, a small optical disk that held 900MB of data, or 1.8GB if it was a double layer.
It had a MISO R4000 processor that ran at 333MHz, 32MB of RAM in the PSP-1000 version and 64MB in the 2000, 3000, GO and E1000 versions.
Its screen was a widescreen LCD, with a resolution of 480x272.
It was discontinued in 2014, selling around 80 million units worldwide, and its best-selling game was Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, which sold over 7 million units.
