Nintendo Entertainment System / NES / Famicom
The Nintendo Entertainment System, also known as the Famicom in Japan, is an 8-bit video game released by Nintendo on July 15, 1983 in Japan and which arrived in the United States on October 8, 1985.

The NES has an 8-bit processor, and depending on the region it could change, in the NTSC version it is the Ricoh 2A03 running at 1.79MHz and in the PAL it is the Ricoh 2A03 running at 1.66MHz. Its graphics chip is a Ricoh 2C02 that ran at 5.37 MHz and was capable of running games at 256x240 resolution.
Their best selling game was Super Mario Bros. that came with the console, with more than 40 million units.
The NES sold over 61 million units and was officially discontinued in August 1995 in the west.
